The Elusiveness Of The Hole In One For Every Keen Golfer

There are few things in sport more eye catching than the hole in one. It’s rarer than a slam dunk in basketball, and goes against the percentages more than a 70 yard touchdown in soccer. Golfers are therefore drawn to achieving this feat.

When a hole in one occurs, it's something too be celebrated, something that brings out keenness and a wonderful sensation of achievement. When a hole in one occurs the feeling in the air is one that may be felt, halfway across the course.

Nonetheless the scarceness of achieving a single perfect golf swing, resulting in the ball hitting the cup, means that the golfer shouldn't ever expect to hit a hole in one. Usually, they are definitely a blend of skill, luck and circumstance.

When you watch golf on TV, or at a live event, even the pros don’t hit them regularly. This makes it clear why there is a danger, to the beginner golfer, to be focusing too much, on the pursuit of the hole in one.

We may be aware of the rareness factor enough to grasp that we cannot have one each round, but the need for the hole in one can present itself in more sophisticated ways perhaps to the point at which the focus is subconscious.

For instance, why do so many new and not so new golfers need to hit the ball as far as possible , as a first coaching aim? Of course, it can make for a better approach, but there’s also an element of needing to hit the ball into the hole, on the 1st attempt, in a few cases.

In truth, you'll always gain more from a steady, consistent and accurate game, instead of focusing on the slippery hole in one. Coaching which concentrates on getting good golf green and green position will most likely have long term benefits, as opposed to trying to sink the ball on the 1st shot.
