For some, a golf club bag is a chance to show off your team spirit and promote your favorite college, for others it’s just a bag to hold your clubs. You cannot walk around a golf course without something to put your golf clubs in. What size of the bag you need depends on how many clubs you own, and how many other accessories and necessities you desire to carry along. A few retail shops include a fundamental bag in addition to your bough club set, yet if you desire something with additional features, you might want to think about upgrading the bag.

    Quality Golf Club Features.

Even basic bags usually features pockets for tees and golf balls, ball markers, and such. There may be an attachment on the ring where you can attach car keys or hang a towel. Most golf club bags can store an umbrella and a ball receiver (used to retrieve balls from tight spots and water hazards) in addition to the typical set of thirteen golf clubs. Today’s bags also may contain a special holder for a water bottle.

The bag will contain a few dividers to separate woods, irons, and other kinds of clubs. Some bags allows for further organization with plastic tubes which hold the shaft of the club in place. Head covers are a necessity to keep the club heads from banging against each other and prevent possible damage. Woods, especially, may be simply dinged or the finish may be easily scraped off. A decent set of covers for the club heads can also be useful when your bag is being tossed around in the back of the cart.

The bag itself should be durable enough to withstand travel. You may wish to purchase a special carrier for you golf club bag if you do a lot of traveling.

Colors and styles vary a lot. If playing in a tournament and using a caddy, make sure the caddy has the correct number of golf clubs in your golf bag at all times. Pay careful attention to the strap. If you plan to carry your bag during your round, make sure you choose a bag that’s straps include padding to protect your upper body from the weight. There are golf club bags which also feature a detachable back harness, which helps to more evenly distribute the weight of the bag and decreases pressure on your shoulder.

When choosing a golf club bag, make sure to pick a quality product. Good products are produced by trustworthy manfacturers and contain all the features needed to make golf outings more enjoyable.
